Plastic is one of the MOST expensive materials to get recycled. According to our friend Doug from Ocean Recovery Alliance, we haven’t been able to recycle most of our plastic wastes in Hong Kong, so they go straight to dump. Masa also told us over 70% of marine wastes are plastics. That’s all about what I know about plastic wastes, but it is enough information for me to feel bad about using any unnecessary plastics.
