It ended up a blight hot day after a sudden heavy rainfall in the morning.
Our clean up at Sandy Bay went well—although we had much smaller numbers of attendance than it originally planned at the beginning of the month.
We collected about 50kg of rubbish in about 1.5hrs within 150m of the bay, and only reason why we stopped was because we run out of bags. There are still many rubbish left.
We‘ve found that what we collected at Sandy Bay was mainly domestic rubbish. Lots of plastic water bottles, food containers, construction materials and millions of broken up polystyrene foams.
